Electronics Merit Badge



One merit badge that can be difficult to get but is very interesting is the Electronics Merit Badge. The Badge starts with learning safety, and all about resistors,  capacitors, and other electronics. You learn how to read a schematic diagram, and then make your own. You learn binary, about Ohms, Volts and Current. Requirement 3 is the requirement which you might get stuck at. This is the requirement where you have to demonstrate soldering and desoldering. To do this you need equipment including the solder, iron, and special sponges. When I did the merit badge, I had to buy all the materials and do it in my backyard. To finish the badge, you will learn about careers in the merit badge that interest you.

  Bugling Merit Badge      The Bugling Merit Badge has been consistently one the least-earned merit badges. It can be really difficult or pretty easy. It requires you to have decent skills at bugling so someone who has never touched a brass instrument could find this hard. Art Merit Badge

Art Merit Badge The Art Merit Badge is an easy and usually fun merit badge that I think every scout should earn. It requires you to learn about art and then do a few pieces of art yourself. You don't need much talent, and you can get this merit badge in one sitting.      The  beginning of the merit badge will teach you about the purpose of art, different styles of art, and even different tricks that artists use. Than you will choose a subject and make it in four different ways. For example you could draw a leaf with coloring pencils, water color, charcoal, and pastels.      The next step is to design something useful, something in 3d, or a logo. Then you will have to visit an art museum, gallery, or workshop.
